What we treat
Every condition below has its own page: what it looks like, how it is diagnosed, and what treatment actually involves.
When worry stops switching off and starts deciding what you do with your day.
For the flatness that outlasts the reason for it, and takes the colour out of things.
Steadier ground between the highs and the lows, with treatment built around your pattern.
Evaluation and treatment for attention, focus and follow-through in adults and children.
Care that goes at your pace, so remembering does not mean reliving.
Sleep that returns, and with it the mood and concentration it took away.
Assessment and support that starts from how you are wired, not from how you should be.
Confidential, judgement-free care for a relationship with food that has become painful.
Long-term, respectful treatment for patterns that keep costing you relationships.
Early, steady psychiatric care when thinking or perception has changed.
Medication management and support aimed at a life you recognise as your own.
Treatment for substance use across the ages we serve, alongside the mental health picture.
For dependence that has taken hold, including care for a co-occurring diagnosis.
If you are having thoughts of ending your life, help is available right now.
Anxiety is not one condition. These are the five we treat most often.
How we help(section 3)
Most people start with an evaluation. What follows is decided together, and it can change as you do.
A full psychiatric evaluation, then medication chosen and adjusted with you over time. Not prescribed once and forgotten.
Talking therapy in the format that fits your life: one to one, as a family, in a group, or online from home.
What happens next(section 4)
Booking is a request, not a commitment to a treatment. Everything clinical is decided with you, after somebody has actually listened.
Step 1 of 3
Request one online whenever it suits you, or call during office hours. Tell us which office is easier to reach, or that you would rather be seen by video.
Step 2 of 3
Your first appointment is a conversation: what you are experiencing now, what has happened before, and what you have already tried. Nothing is decided ahead of it.
Step 3 of 3
Medication, therapy, or both, with a plan that tightens or eases as things change. You will always know what the next appointment is for.

In their words
I am a new patient and so far I feel that Dr. Victorine Ngang is caring and has my best interest at heart. She has given me sound advise and I look forward to a continued positive relationship.
Dr. Vicki is the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. She listens. She does her job and she does it well. She's not there to just tell you what to do or talk at you.
The service provided was exceptional. The team diligently develops comprehensive treatment plans meticulously tailored to individual conditions. I am seeing positive results.
My mom was a patient of Dr. Victorine Ngang for about 5 years, and she has been absolutely the best thing that ever happened to her. She is so caring, responsive, and takes a wholistic approach to her clients' care.
I enjoyed my experience with the Dr. She listened to me and helped me understand some things I didn't know about my medication. She has a gentle caring spirit

Why Unique Minds(section 6)
Getting help should not be the hardest part of getting help. Everything here exists to take one obstacle out of the way.
Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Delaware, Ohio in person, or secure video anywhere in Maryland and the District, so care does not stop when your week gets complicated.
Medication management and talking therapy in one practice, so nobody has to carry their own notes between two providers who never speak.
When a season is hard, appointments go weekly, medication gets reviewed sooner than the next routine visit, and your therapist and prescriber work from the same picture.
We treat across the ages, and we take culturally responsive care seriously rather than listing it as a value.
